Acentra seeks a Project Controls Analyst to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As a Project Controls Analyst, you will have significant responsibility to develop project budgets and forecasts, analyze project risks, and provide financial support to Project Managers for public sector (state and federal) business.

* This role is fully remote.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops project baseline budgets, analyzes project risks, and provides analytical support to Project Managers.

• Monitors and collaborate on project progress to compare actual versus baseline resource usage and analyze project cost variances.

• Supports Project Managers in performing specialized analyses of corrective action plans to determine the most effective means of addressing potential problems.

• Prepares documentation in accordance with corporate guidelines for project financial review and approval.

• Prepares documentation in support of the change control process and internal governance meetings throughout the project life cycle. Performs cost analysis, cost estimating, cost management, cost control, and cost forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provides update at operations meetings on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns; keeps project managers informed of emerging issues as they arise.

• Identifies and assists with change management process on projects.

• Monitors close out documentation requirements and reviews final cost report and final schedule for close out and benchmarking purposes.

• Provides reports on pipeline, backlog, project status, Project Cost information and staff planning. Prepares cash flow forecasting and analysis.

• Develop and maintain annual budgets.

• Assist management with special projects as needed.

 

Required Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.  

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft office suite

• 3+ years of experience in financial modelling and/or project controls.  

• Experience in fixed price and financial analysis, preferable for Software implementation contracts or system integration projects.

• Experience developing and presenting budget and status reports  

• Complete understanding of accrual processes, invoice review and validation.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience: (No more than 3 Bullet Points)

  • You have experience with US Government/public sector (Federal or State) contracts or projects
  • You have knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition methodologies.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000.

“Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
