Overview
This role is responsible for program management and delivery of the successful roadmap planning and delivery of systems/platforms/implementations. This role will support the selection and implementation of an asset inventory management and inventory tracking tool. This role will establish and maintain relevant program systems, strategy, documentation, excel reports, and optimize processes. This position will work with a VP to present the Asset Inventory Program to employees and will need to understand priority needs for system improvements, enhancements, migrations and possible integrations. This role requires strong comfort level with executive level deck presentations in PowerPoint. This position is a long-term remote consulting opportunity in the telecommunications industry. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Please note, we are unable to offer a C2C.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily program management throughout an established program’s full life cycle
- Ability to create long term strategy and roadmap planning
- Implementation of numerous systems and platforms
- Work collaboratively with technical teams to implement an inventory tool
- Support process improvement activities
- Document program, project plan, RAID logs, support checklists and project deliverables
- Integrate business policies and governance planning & accountability for project roadmaps
- Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements
- Own overall integrated project plan and manage cross-functional resources, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goal
- Align deliverables (outputs) to the program/project workstream’s “outcome”
- Review vendor deliverables to confirm outcomes against SOW expectations
- Manage resources across projects, including the coordination of user, IT and vendor resources
- Facilitate and lead daily project meetings and manage stakeholders’ communication
- Identify program KPIs to assess impact
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of cross-functional teams
- Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.
Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates must have strong practical experience in program and/or project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects. Candidate must have the following:
- Minimum of 7 years strong program/project management experience
- Experience with software or platform implementations is needed
- SDLC experience is a must
- Experience with implementation of an asset inventory system and device management is preferred
- Proven IT Systems and Data Management experience
- Experience specifically with system migrations, integrations and/or implementations
- Experience and knowledge in Telecommunications industry is preferred
- Strong leadership, stakeholder, and management skills
- Good knowledge of resource allocation procedures
- Excellent oral and written communications skills to stakeholders including the ability to influence, strategize and negotiate
- Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives
Requirements
Qualifications/Technical Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of program/project management experience and formal project management methodology such as Agile experience working with PMO stakeholders in IT and engineering teams is desired
- Expert level Power Point preparation and presentations skills are required
- Proficiency with SmartSheet and Excel skills are necessary
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree is in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Finance is desired
- Masters or MBA preferred
- PMP certification is desired
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement, with an expected hourly range of $70-80/hr. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
