IT Concepts is seeking an experienced Program Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Information Exchange (VHIE) ITC contracts Program Manager. As a program analyst you will be primary support for the VHIE program manager (PM), providing administrative support, tracking and coordinating inputs to program deliverables, maintaining and facilitating the program WBS, facilitating the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates alongside other activities as the needs arise.
The Program Analyst provides direct support to the Program Manager and various project leads of two contracts by performing the following tasks:
- Maintain and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) deliverable through direct engagement with project leads to obtain updates, de-conflicting of tasks and dependencies across different work areas, and recommendations for improvements to format and structure of the IMS
- Collect and consolidate inputs for major reporting deliverables, review all inputs for accuracy and completeness, and submit to Program Manager for final review
- Work with members of the contract teams (prime and subcontractors) for inputs to deliverables, IMS, and weekly / monthly reports; contribute to deliverables and review the work of others for quality and accuracy
- Maintain and update VHIE SharePoint sites, both ITC and VA, by posting deliverables and documents, documenting and updating project risks/issues, and other SharePoint tasks as assigned by PM
- Support various program meetings by capturing meeting minutes and tracking action items; tracking action items and follow-up activities resulting from meetings to ensure resolution / completion
- Provide administrative support to PM, including supporting updates of internal Project Management Reviews and other similar duties as assigned
- Provide support to VA onboarding lead, including facilitating onboarding activities and managing documents
- Participate in brainstorming discussions, contribute ideas or proof reading for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), contribute to continuous process improvement efforts, helping to identify and implement best practices and efficiency improvements
- Obtain an understanding of the client environment and overall project scope
- Actively seek opportunities to take on new challenges and increase knowledge of project requirements.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience providing project management/leadership support
- Understanding of project and program management concepts and principles
- Experience using Microsoft Project and SharePoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Remote position; ability to work Eastern Time hours
Preferred:
- VA experience and / or familiarity strongly preferred
Clearance requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be willing and able to obtain a Public Trust process
