Full Job Description
We are seeking an Inventory Planning, Production and Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for orchestrating and optimizing all aspects of the production and planning processes. This critical role ensures the seamless and efficient manufacturing of pillowcases, meeting quality standards, and fulfilling customer demand while effectively managing resources and personnel.
- Responsible for all inventory related inquiries or requests
- Identify inventory opportunities on a weekly basis such as substitutions & obsolete/end-of-life inventory & collaborate with sales & fulfillment to execute
- Devise, implement & maintain inventory standardization (naming, categorizations, setups) & control processes with all supply chain contributors (internal & external: i.e: 3PL & FF)
- Ownership & optimization of inventory software (OMS/IMS, GS1), product catalog (GS1), reporting dashboards (Power BI) & planning tools (sales forecast, IP) ensuring the integrity of the data/reporting housed
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and report across company
- Analyze sales forecast and past sales trends to offer weekly, monthly & ad hoc purchase recommendations; create purchase orders
- Ensure KPIs for inventory are met, maintained & reported regularly
- Lead regular physical counts & ensure inventory reconciliations w/ necessary systems
- Freight Forward management - includes cost negotiation, HTS codes & ensuring cost is within budget
- Container Optimization
- Managing BOLs & PODs
- Receiving, sending ASNs to the warehouse, transferring & applying landed cost in systems
- Provide leadership, management & standardization to other supply chain contributors (sales operations, fulfillment, 3PL, FF)
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Deep knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Expert knowledge of inventory and erp softwares
- Accurately plan and track inventory
- Experience working directly with factories to deliver cost-effective, quality-controlled and timeline-driven results
- Individual has experience with testing agencies for QC process
- Ideally calls for 5+ years experience in supply chain/production/quality assurance
- Works with Finance, Operations, Graphic Design on a daily basis
