Product management plays a leading role at Prove AI. As a Principal Product Manager, you will take ownership of defining, leading, and executing product management initiatives with a strong focus on delivering impactful, revenue-generating features in the AI-driven software for responsible AI and governance. Leveraging your experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will guide cross-functional teams to turn early product concepts into validated, scalable, and market-ready solutions.
This role requires a balance of technical depth, product requirements, and strategic vision. You will be pivotal in shaping the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with engineering, product development delivery, business goals, and customer needs. You will work closely with engineering, design, customer success, and other stakeholders to prioritize, test, and deliver 0 to 1 and then scalable enterprise features that drive value. Your expertise will be key in navigating the complexities of the product management life cycle, validating product ideas, and iterating based on user feedback to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Product Definition & Strategy:
- Drive the product management process, from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and customer needs.
- Manage the creation and execution of external product features that align with revenue goals.
- Contribute to the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on user value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Validate early product concepts and features through user research, prototyping, and data-driven insights.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in AI to inform product strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize the product roadmap and refine the backlog.
Technical Collaboration:
- Translate user stories and customer needs into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams.
- Create and review product specifications and prioritization of requirements to align customer needs and internal resources.
- Validate early product concepts and features through user research, prototyping, and data-driven insights.
- Work closely with our engineering partner team from IBM on product specifications and acceptance criteria.
UX & Design Collaboration:
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to test, iterate, and deliver high-impact MVP features.
- Partner with UX and design teams to identify screen enhancements and user experience improvements.
- Specify technical requirements for user interactions, such as workflow automation, data handling, and enterprise features.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Act as the central point of contact between business stakeholders, engineering, marketing, and design.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver on product objectives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience defining and leading product management.
- Proven experience in delivering external product features for revenue-generating software.
- A deep understanding of the product management life cycle in the AI space.
- Strong technical expertise in prioritizing product features within the roadmap.
- Strong experience in validating early product concepts and features.
- Solid experience collaborating with design and engineering teams on testing and leading MVP features.
- Ability to deconstruct user stories into detailed technical requirements.
- Exceptional skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have:
- Background in AI product creation.
- Background in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC, security, or privacy technology industries.
- Previous experience in software programming or software engineering.
