We’re looking for an experienced subject matter expert (SME) and Project Manager for an oil and gas organization to manage HR initiatives. This role is responsible for planning and overseeing the HR Department roadmap as it unwinds from a PEO and launches an ERP within the HR environment. This role requires subject matter expertise in HR activities such as benefit broker relationships, state registrations, 401k management, and overall HR leadership. This role will facilitate executive level and cross-departmental meetings, build program reports and communications, and support the execution and management of the HR function. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be able to work CST and MST hours daily. All qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Build strategic plan and manage HR Department roadmap to unwind current PEO provider, launch new ERP within the HR organization, and support additional HR initiatives as assigned.
· Define overall HR program strategy and execution of related projects.
· Manage the PEO (Preferred Employer Organization) relationship and broker partnerships.
· Project manage the HR workstream to implement Oracle ERP
· Align with executive stakeholders and delivery partners on responsibilities, deliverables, budgets, and timelines across the HR Department.
· Work closely with HR leadership and executive stakeholders to implement projects.
· Facilitate and lead management and executive meetings.
· Prepare executive-level portfolio status reports on project delivery and outcomes.
· Work with cross functional stakeholders to determine requirements and timelines.
· Document interdependencies across deliverables and track projects’ progress.
· Responsible for program reporting and accountability.
· Maintain program roadmap to meet overall company objectives.
· Manage risks, perform mitigations and escalate any issues for resolution.
· Set up tools and standards for managing projects and implement any quality control standards necessary.
· Perform audits on projects and programs to deliver success.
· Aid in decision making and work in collaboration with various groups of stakeholders and management.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
· Minimum 7 years HR leadership experience across multiple HR functional areas.
· Experience with PEOs, insurance brokers, benefit vendors and related activities.
· Experience with direct project or program management. Ideally PMP or PMI certification is helpful, but not required.
· Proven experience managing, supporting, and executing HR projects.
· Strong leadership and management skills. Executive facing presence is necessary.
· Ability to prioritize workstreams, partner and negotiate with key stakeholders.
· Ability to ramp up on new projects quickly, work autonomously, while actively keeping project team and client informed of program milestones and issues.
· Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
· Strong proficiency with SmartSheet or other project management software (MS Project); experience in developing portfolio dashboards and other portfolio level reporting is preferred.
· MS Office Suite products, especially PowerPoint is required.
· Familiarity in working with cross functional teams- IT, HR, payroll, field operations, internal/external communications.
· Ability to drive progress with little direction.
· Oil and Gas industry experience is helpful or ability to ramp up quickly to a new industry
Education/Certifications
· Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Psychology, Human Resources Management, Communications or other related degree.
· PMP or equivalent certification/experience is necessary.
· MBA is helpful.
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement with expected salary range of $95k-150k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
