Job Summary:
We are looking for a Patient Coordinator to assist with scheduling appointments, reaching out to patients, coordinating insurance communications, and providing general administrative support. The role also includes helping with chart preparations to ensure all necessary information is up-to-date and ready for the healthcare team. This is a dynamic position requiring excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to keep the program running smoothly.
This Patient Coordinator will support our Fracture Prevention Program, which is dedicated to helping patients at risk for fractures by providing timely screenings and follow-up care. This program plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive the attention they need to improve their bone health and reduce future health risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Appointment Coordination: Assist patients with scheduling bone mineral density scan, coordinating transportation, and rescheduling appointments as needed.
- Patient Outreach: Contact patients due for bone mineral density scan, encouraging them to follow through with their appointments.
- Insurance Assistance: Reach out to insurance companies to verify coverage and assist patients with insurance-related questions.
- Test Result Management: Track incoming bone mineral density scan and lab results, notify the healthcare team, and follow up with patients if further appointments are needed
- Collaboration: Communicate with imaging centers and other healthcare providers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Program Support: Assist with various administrative tasks as the program evolves.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or 4 years of relevant experience
- 1 year of patient-facing experience
- 1 year of remote or hybrid work experience (preferred)
- Strong time management skills: Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Proactive and organized: Capable of taking initiative in patient outreach and follow-ups
- Adaptable: Ability to quickly learn and use new software tool
- Effective communication skills: Comfortable interacting professionally, and empathetically, with patients and colleagues
- Multitasking ability: Able to manage scheduling, outreach, and administrative duties simultaneously

The salary range for this position is $35,000-$42,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience
