As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and support within our radiology department. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patients during procedures, preparing and maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Working closely with our team of medical professionals, including radiologists, technologists, and nurses, you will strive to deliver exceptional patient experiences. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and commitment to providing compassionate care will contribute to the overall success of our department.


Responsibilities

  • Assist patients during radiology procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Prepare the necessary equipment and supplies for procedures, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disinfecting equipment and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Collect and record patient information, such as medical history and vital signs, accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and answering their questions to alleviate anxiety.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and prioritize patient care.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a radiology department.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Current CPR certification is a plus.
