BiggerPockets is launching a new product (PassivePockets) to help investors find, vet, and invest in real estate syndications. It will include education, community forums, and directories to easily find syndication sponsors and active investment opportunities. To support the launch, we need to fill our sponsor directory with incredible syndicators and our deal directory active offerings. And we’ll need to sell advertising packages to drive exposure and performance for sponsors. 

That’s where you come in. We need a dynamic Sales Representative to drive growth through syndicator directory placement and advertising package sales.

About the Role 

The primary focus will be on new business development of our sponsorship and advertising opportunities. This candidate must have a strong understanding of how to work with brands to create mutually beneficial partnerships that resonate with our audience and help the clients grow their business. 

The main focuses will be on corporate outreach, category research, setting new sales meetings, selling corporate partnerships and assisting the Partnerships Sales team with proposals, market research/analytics, and developing inventory.  

You’ll help us establish and build out the PassivePockets Sales team. At first, you’ll be responsible for all sales responsibilities. As PassivePockets scales, you may hire additional team members to support you.

Responsibilities 

  • Understand the marketing objectives of prospective clients and determine how a PassivePockets partnership can assist in achieving their goals. 
  • Responsible for developing and creatively calling on a prospect pipeline (via targeting and qualifying leads through cold calls and referrals) for potential corporate partnership opportunities with regional, national and international companies.
  • Develop sales strategies and packages that leverage the assets of PassivePockets and BiggerPockets to achieve revenue goals.
  • Effectively prospect regional and national brands and connect with executive-level decision makers to present new business opportunities.
  • Occasionally attend events, meetups and conferences to talk to syndicators about PassivePockets.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential sponsors, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain CRM (Hubspot) of prospective client information
  • Convert leads into sales by effectively communicating the value proposition of PassivePockets subscription and advertising opportunities.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting to initial outreach to closing.
  • Collaborate with the client operations team to ensure smooth and timely transitions from sale to onboarding and advertising package fulfillment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to continuously improve sales strategies and offerings.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs to drive revenue growth for PassivePockets.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in sales 
  • Proven revenue generator with strong senior-level decision maker contacts at brands and agencies. 
  • Proven track record of driving large-scale partnership deals.
  • Experience developing fully integrated sponsorship packages including entitlements, conference assets, digital media, social media, and intellectual property rights.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced, fluid environment while balancing multiple tasks at once. 
  • Extraordinarily strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence and build positive relationships in business environments.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior level executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public. 
  • Strong understanding of sponsorship sales, marketing, and promotional strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and generate reports.
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities and takes action

Compensation

  • This role has a base salary of $75,000 + benefits with commission.
  • OTE - $150,000 / year
