Cordelia Labs is a digital media agency that is a subsidiary of Big Sea, a digital marketing and web development agency. We are looking for a Paid Search Specialist to join our team. 

At Cordelia Labs, the Paid Search Specialist is an experienced leader that balances pay-per-click campaign execution.  They would be responsible for Paid Search account management, campaign strategy and optimization of paid search across multiple channels, including Google and Bing.  You should fundamentally understand different paid search strategies and know when to apply different tactics based on client needs and campaign objectives. 

The ideal candidate is a data-informed, strategic thinker who has the intuition & desire to find the truth in the numbers. You are hungry and eager to learn and will never be satisfied with the status quo. You’ll let the data tell the story and surface actionable insights.

This role requires a deep appreciation for the digital technology space and an insatiable desire to stand out from the crowd.

You will report directly to our President of Cordelia Labs and work very closely with the Account Strategist and Performance Media Lead.  You may also work with our Big Sea Marketing and Account teams to ensure you’re collaborating on ideas for producing, planning and buying for interesting, buzzworthy campaigns.

Requirements

  • Ongoing planning, management and implementation of Paid Search across paid media clients.
  • Work with the Account Strategist to identify appropriate goals, KPI’s, target segments, and/or creative requirements for successful PPC campaigns.
  • Use these goals as a framework to create, deploy, and manage PPC campaigns across Paid Search.
    • Must have an understanding of Google’s pMax and Lead Gen tactics along with staying up to date on any new Google offerings. 
  • Collaborate with media specialists, creative services, and content specialists to ensure copy and content are aligned with keyword and campaign strategies and that all teams are subscribing to PPC and analytics best practices.
    • Must be able to identify gaps in UX or path to conversion and course correct for easier conversion tracking.
  • Manage client budgets to drive qualified traffic and conversions consistently and efficiently.
  • Maintain ongoing Paid Search plans for clients to outline optimization activities, promotions and/or creative content.
  • Align client needs with new product betas to ensure new tools and methodologies are being presented to clients.
  • Identify opportunities for Cordelia Labs or Big Sea to upsell and/or cross sell services to current clients.
  • Support business development initiatives for prospective digital marketing clients by contributing to the creation of presentations and proposals.
  • Help to assess and administer the technology, data and tracking needs to measure and report on performance across campaigns.
  • Grow understanding of paid tactics and strategies through regular industry research.
  • Responsible for managing multiple accounts at one time based on size, complexity and capacity.
  • Support other media channels that align with client goals.   

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in analytics platforms including Google Analytics, Google Looker Studios, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Preferred Certifications
    • Google Ads Certification.
    • Bing Ads Certification.
    • Google Analytics Certification.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
  • Proactive problem solving skills & ability to pivot strategies quickly.
  • Analyzing trends and making data-driven decisions
  • Split test creatives, campaigns, ad groups and optimize according to results
  • Test new creatives on a weekly basis
  • Managing large budgets by working with managers to ensure that budgets are being used efficiently
  • Ability to adapt to and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in time management and prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in search engine media. Specifically having experience with bid monitoring and adjustment of paid search campaigns, defining terms, and writing effective copy highly relevant and targeted to clients’ core products or services
  • Have the ability to lead by example in terms of attention to detail, general work ethic, empathy, and internal/external professionalism.
  • Strong analytical skills: effectively gather, analyze, summarize, and present data.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, always seeking feedback from other subject matter experts in SEO, marketing automation, trade show/virtual show marketing, and User Experience to maximize performance across the customer journey.
  • Bonus if you have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online SEM marketing and measurement
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. Bonus if you know or have used Asana or another project management tool
