Full Job Description

The Operations Coordinator will support the general operations of Center for Public Enterprise and will report to the Executive Director. The Operations Coordinator will support the Executive Director with administrative needs, such as handling contracts, filing documents related to non-profit organizational requirements, interfacing with the organization’s board of directors, and assisting with organizational development, including fundraising. The Operations Coordinator will also aid the organization’s program related work in housing and energy by supporting the review and publishing of reports, blog posts, and other published materials on the organization’s website and newsletter, and with event planning. 

While training and education will be provided, there is a preference for applicants who have prior expertise with housing and energy related topics, especially as they relate to public sector activity, such as: affordable housing development, clean energy transition, government and public sector operations, etc. 

While this job is remote eligible, preference will be given to candidates with the ability to work in person in New York City or in Washington, D.C. on a flexible hybrid schedule.

Requirements

Responsibilities

    • Assist the Executive Director with administrative functions, including document collection and filing, contract management, and scheduling
    • Support the board of directors in preparation for, and during, meetings of the board, including with agenda planning 
    • Support organizational development, including with fundraising, grant writing, and meeting scheduling
    • Support the program area teams by assisting with the publishing and distribution of reports and other materials
    • Support the organization with the planning of certain events
