We provide evidence-based, comprehensive instructional and curriculum support to educators and school system leaders in over 40 states nationwide.

UnboundEd empowers educators to transform teaching and learning. We work with classroom teachers, school leaders and district executives to ensure engaging, affirming and meaningful grade-level instruction, so that we eliminate the predictability of student outcomes by race and socioeconomic status. We focus on the needs of students of color and those who have historically been at the margins because when we do that, all students benefit.

We are seeking a National Learning Manager (Language and Literacy Subject Matter Expert). This position will report to Senior Director, Content and Implementation. Requirements

General Responsibilities:

  • Language and Literacy Subject Matter Expert with deep knowledge and expertise in language acquisition, literacy development, and educational best practices to drive innovative professional learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including implementation, product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and integration of initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to part-time facilitators and colleagues, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance overall team effectiveness.
  • Support RFP content when necessary 

The National Learning Manager will be responsible for:

1. Lead Online Cohorts 75%

  •  Develop and facilitate engaging and interactive online cohorts focused on language and literacy development.
  •  Utilize best practices in adult learning theory and instructional design to create meaningful learning experiences for participants.
  •  Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and knowledge sharing.

2. Sales and Industry Conference Participation 15%

  • Support sales team members on high-stakes sales presentations by participating as the subject matter expert
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and events related to language and literacy education.
  • Deliver high-level presentations and workshops to showcase our expertise, products, and solutions.
  • Network with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders to build relationships and promote our offerings.

3. Content Development 10%

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in language and literacy education, providing insights and guidance to the content development team.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality educational materials, including curriculum, assessments, and instructional resources.
  • Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in language and literacy instruction, incorporating relevant insights into content development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Education (ELA), Linguistics, TESOL, or related field; Doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in language and literacy education, with a focus on curriculum development, instructional design, and professional development.
  • Proven track record of facilitating online learning cohorts and delivering dynamic presentations at industry events.
  • Outstanding sales and communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse audiences.
  • Deep understanding of language acquisition theories, literacy development, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
  • A history of educational work centered on equitable outcomes for students most underserved by our educational system and a strong working knowledge of effective skills and strategies for improving outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
  • Experience working with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders in the K-12 education sector.
  • Willing to travel 15% of the year for conferences, workshops, and client meetings.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving learning outcomes for all students.

UnboundEd offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution and no vesting period or salary cap. This is an exempt full-time position with additional bonus earning potential.  An annual compensation offer is based on relevant years of experience in relation to the position, and will be in the range of $120,000-$130,000 USD, plus potential for bonus.
