Full Job Description
ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented NAL Evidence Synthesis Librarian to join our team. As a NAL Evidence Synthesis Librarian at ARETUM, you will play a crucial role in conducting evidence synthesis and library research to support the National Agricultural Library (NAL).

Responsibilities
- Support the initial phases of the evidence review process.
- Determine the scope of the research in partnership with stakeholders.
- Works closely with the evidence review team to develop a protocol, which includes a framework and inclusion and exclusion criteria.
- Develop and conduct comprehensive literature searches in multiple databases.
- Develop search strategies based on framework and criteria
- Translates the search strategies for several databases, as needed.
- Maintains detailed documentation of the search to ensure reproducibility and transparency of the search process.
- Manages citations, including de-duplication and retrieval of full-text documents to support subject matter experts.
- Facilitate use of evidence review management software by team and stakeholders
- Provide documentation of methodology and search for resulting reports or manuscripts
- Participate in high-level meetings with representatives from multiple federal agencies to report on progress, discuss issues identified in the course of conducting projects, and present findings
- Draft report manuscripts for completed projects.
- Engage with federal stakeholders throughout the course of the project.
- Attend regular meetings of the DRI Working Group and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Gather feedback from federal stakeholders to inform project deliverables.
- Deliver final project presentations to the DRI Working Group.
- Contribute to writing the manuscripts for final project reports.
Requirements
- Public Trust
- Minimum academic requirement is a Master in Library Science (MLS or MLIS)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting evidence reviews, including systematic and
- rapid reviews
- Ability to develop systematic search strategies in a range of online databases in the topic areas of food, nutrition, food safety, agriculture, and health sciences
- Experience with review management software, such as Covidence or Distiller SR
- Experience with citation management software, such as Endnote or Zotero
- Experience supporting research in the topic areas of food, nutrition, food safety, and agriculture desired
- Excellent oral and communications skills.
