The project draws influence from iconic artists such as George Duke, Steely Dan, and Herbie Hancock. This short-term, remote opportunity requires a skilled professional to enhance and polish existing tracks, bringing them to a high-quality, release-ready state.
Responsibilities:
- Mix and finalise multiple tracks of an instrumental electric jazz album
- Work with provided multitracks and AI splits to achieve a polished, professional sound
- Enhance the tracks to capture the essence of 70s and 80s jazz fusion
- Ensure consistency in sound quality and style across all tracks
Requirements
- Proven experience as a music producer with a strong background in mixing jazz fusion, acid jazz, jazz funk, and Latin jazz
- Extensive knowledge of 70s and 80s instrumental electric jazz production techniques
- Proficiency in industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) and mixing software
- Strong ear for detail and ability to enhance intricate musical elements
- Familiarity with the styles of influential artists like George Duke, Steely Dan, and Herbie Hancock
