Chicago Cornea Consultants, LTD is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk to join our team. As a leading ophthalmology practice, we are committed to providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. As a Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for our practice. This position is for a full-time experienced Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk who can demonstrate proficiency in medical records management and data entry. Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in ophthalmology, is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate must possess exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to accurately enter and maintain patient information. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records systems, are essential. The Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk will work closely with our healthcare team and must have excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Full-time Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and updating patients' medical records, both electronic and paper. The position requires excellent organizational and data entry skills. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, reliable, and have the ability to work independently. He or she must be able to prioritize tasks and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain patients' medical records, both electronic and paper
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
  • Retrieve and file medical records as needed for patient appointments and referrals
  • Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical records system
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring medical record requests and releases
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information at all times
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and complete documentation

Requirements

  • Prior experience working as a Medical Records/Data Entry Clerk in a healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and other relevant software
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
