This position is for a full-time experienced Medical Receptionist who can demonstrate proficiency in front desk operations, including patient check-in, scheduling appointments, and handling phone calls. Experience working in a surgical center or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members on a daily basis. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as the Medical Receptionist will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and managing appointment schedules. The ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is also required.
We are looking for a Full-time Medical Receptionist to join our Surgical Center. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting and checking-in patients, scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment calendars
- Answer phone calls, direct calls to appropriate individuals, and take messages
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance and contact details
- Collect patient payments and provide assistance with billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a Medical Receptionist in a surgical center or healthcare setting highly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a positive and welcoming environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in front desk operations, including patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and handling phone calls
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic medical records systems and other relevant software
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
