Full Job Description
The Marketing Associate within the Parish team is responsible for assisting in the collaborating, planning, and executing of its marketing campaigns, alongside the Associate Marketing Manager of the Parish, Schools, and Small Groups unit, to boost Ascension’s brand affinity with customers and creators, ultimately increasing the business unit’s profitability. This position supports the annual marketing budget for the overall Parish, Schools, and Small Groups unit and is jointly responsible for crafting strategic plans and tactical implementation to help the unit reach its annual sales goals. In addition, this role supports all marketing efforts by analyzing customer buying behavior and marketing research materials, assessing the impact of marketing campaigns, and developing innovative strategies to drive brand recognition and growth.
All duties and responsibilities are to be in support of the Marketing Team:
- Assist with various marketing efforts across all Ascension platforms and channels, including Amazon, the Ascension website, Facebook/Meta ads, email, etc, for the Parish team under the Parish, Schools, and Small Groups business unit.
- Create clear, compelling, and effective copy for marketing materials, such as website content, emails, and social media posts.
- Work closely with the other marketers in the unit and across the company to understand the company’s brand and messaging, coordinate the marketing schedule, and collaborate on marketing strategy.
- Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of writing and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with other functions such as product owners, editorial, graphics, and PR to create cohesive marketing materials.
- Contribute to the insights on customer segments, demographics, and KPIs as needed.
- Support the back-end marketing and e-commerce systems.
- Engage in training and development of skills needed for campaign management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1+ years of marketing copywriting or relevant business experience.
- Excellent copywriting skills, including the ability to imitate branded writing styles.
- A deep understanding of the Catholic faith and teaching.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools such as Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Keen attention to detail with an open mind to collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and taking ownership or collaborating as needed to accomplish complex projects.
- The ability to learn new systems and technical skills quickly.
- The ability to travel to Ascension’s headquarters in Pennsylvania several times per year is required.
