Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an MRO Manager. As the MRO Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) function. Your expertise in managing resources and implementing efficient processes will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime.
You will be responsible for optimizing the MRO processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing the inventory of spare parts and supplies.
To excel in this role, you must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of maintenance and repair procedures. You should also be familiar with relevant software tools and systems used in MRO planning as well as CMMS software.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and services for our facilities.
- Research potential suppliers, negotiate prices and contracts, and inspect materials and products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Set up equipment or systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure MRO function performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of inventory, repairs, and maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste across the network.
- Collaborate with our engineers to develop product designs that can be manufactured at the lowest cost.
- Ensure that the company is using products and services that are required and represent substantial value.
- Deliver training to others within the organization as needed.
- Travel as needed to address plant concerns, technical issues, and explore equipment repair and maintenance opportunities.
- Build and develop ideas, models, or materials relevant to the MRO process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) processes and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
- Understanding of supply chain management principles and experience optimizing inventory levels.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to maintenance activities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
