Full Job Description
Walnut Way Conservation Corp. is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our logistics operations and ensure efficient transportation and distribution of our resources and materials. This role is vital in supporting our mission-driven initiatives and enhancing our community impact.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating all logistics activities, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for optimizing processes in a sustainable manner.
As part of our dedicated team, you will help facilitate the movement of goods and services that directly contribute to Walnut Way Conservation Corp.'s efforts in the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with organizational goals and ensure efficient operations.
- Manage transportation, warehousing, and inventory activities to optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee the scheduling of deliveries and shipments while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to streamline logistics processes and improve service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with transportation providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Train and mentor logistics staff on best practices and ensure effective communication throughout the team.
- Prepare logistical reports and documentation for management review.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance logistics efficiency.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in negotiating contracts with carriers and suppliers.
- Commitment to sustainability and efficient resource utilization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certification is a plus.
