Full Job Description

The Learning Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our learning systems and digital delivery. This person plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our content, managing user accounts, configuring system settings, and providing technical support to users. Additionally, this role collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify and implement enhancements to the platform to meet the evolving needs of our learners and organization. 

Requirements

Duties And Responsibilities 

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the digital delivery system, including user account management, course creation, enrollment, and user permissions management. 
  • Ensure the stability, reliability, and security of the digital delivery system by performing regular maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with IT support teams to resolve technical issues promptly. 
  • Ensure content meets accessibility compliance standards, which align with WCAG 2.X and the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC)’s Voluntary Product Accessibility Template.  
  • Oversee the uploading, organization, and maintenance of digital learning content, including courses, modules, assessments, and multimedia resources. 
  • Provide technical support and assistance to users regarding LMS functionality, navigation, and troubleshooting. Serve as the primary point of contact for user inquiries, issues, and training needs. 
  • Customize and configure the LMS platform to align with organizational requirements, user preferences, and best practices in online learning delivery. 
  • Generate reports and analytics on LMS usage, learner engagement, and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and inform decision-making. 
  • Liaise with LMS vendors and external partners to coordinate system updates, upgrades, and integrations, and to resolve technical issues as needed. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and innovations to enhance the functionality, usability, and effectiveness of the LMS for our learners and stakeholders. 
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, tutorials, and documentation to educate users on LMS functionality, best practices, and new features.

Education and Experience Needed 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required  
  • Expertise in Networking or IT with experience in LMS administration preferred  
  • Familiarity with cloud architecture and virtualization  
  • Proficiency in WCAG 2.X accessibility guidelines, or other verified frameworks 
  • Ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
