About the Role

We are seeking a talented animator to collaborate on an exciting personal project: the creation of a pilot for an animated series titled "Chess The Nextgen." This project aims to develop a high-quality 2D cartoon with the potential to become an ongoing series. The animation style will be akin to popular shows on Disney Channel and Adult Swim. This is a remote position suitable for animators at any experience level.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and animate characters, backgrounds, and scenes according to the project's vision and style.
• Collaborate with the project creator to ensure the animation aligns with the overall narrative and aesthetic goals.
• Create storyboards, animatics, and final animation sequences for the pilot episode.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to produce high-quality 2D animations.
• Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual storytelling.
• Meet project deadlines and deliverables as agreed upon with the project creator.

Requirements

1. Proficiency in 2D animation software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar.
2. Strong understanding of animation principles, character design, and storyboarding.
3. Ability to adapt to a style similar to popular Disney Channel and Adult Swim shows.
4. A portfolio demonstrating previous work in 2D animation.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
6. Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and animation.
7. Ability to receive and incorporate feedback effectively.
8. Availability to commit to the project timeline and deliver quality work remotely.
