Join our team as an IT Senior Manager at Aretum, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT operations and infrastructure for our clients in the government sector. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and secure IT systems and services.

Responsibilities
- Serves as the leader in the company on internal IT programs, helps with IT proposals and managing IT certifications and partnerships. Specific responsibilities include
- Leads management of IT assets and their distribution and tracking.
- Maintains IT budgets for hardware and software purchases.
- Incorporate tools and develop/manage processes for ticketing and tracking systems for IT and non-IT work.
- Manages the company’s infrastructure for Microsoft 365.
- Establishes and manages the company’s IT security posture for Microsoft 365 (email, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
- Manages the company HQ’s IT and networking infrastructure.
- Establishes IT departmental goals and objectives, functions with autonomy.
- Ensures corporate IT staff and professionals adhere to defined internal controls with a focus on policy and strategy implementation.
- Manages systems and procedures to protect company assets.
- Uses practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of IT processes, projects, and tactics.
- Sets IT policies and direction for the company.
- Supports company Federal IT projects establish and maintain their security requirements, including managing POAMs (Plan of Actions and Milestones) for DOD, Intelligence, and DHS contracts.
- Approves IT spends on specific hardware and software items, and maintains annual IT spend plans working with leadership and finance teams.
- Brings innovation into all areas of internal IT by evaluating, suggesting, and acquiring tools.
- Manages IT vendor relationships related to laptops, Microsoft 365, Security tools and services. Manages and obtains company partnerships like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft Solution Partner.
- Helps establish and run communities of interest around IT.
- Works closely with teams to support writing and reviewing sections of IT proposals submitted by the company to the Government.
- Helps write documents related to the rollout of new IT processes and tools within the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 (+) years of experience in companywide IT Support, 5 (+) years of managerial experience.
- MS in Computer Science, IT Management or equivalent. (Preferred)
- Experience working for a Federal Govt. Contractor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Training in Information Technology concepts.
- Experience in managing staff and/or teams.
- Expert knowledge of Server OS and Server networking companywide in a Government Contracting environment.
- Experience in the deployment and management of enterprise storage and server-based systems.
- Experience in networking systems and equipment (routers, gateways, access points).
- Skilled in interpersonal relationships, teaching, planning and communication.
- Experience managing assets like PCs, Macbooks and tablets.
- Experience designing, implementing, optimizing, and administering enterprise applications and databases.
- Recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating team members.
- Cross functional collaboration with technical teams, leadership, proposal team, contracts, HR and other departments across the organization.
- Experience with providing IT support to Proposal and Contract Teams during the proposal process.
- Overseeing tactical responses to cyber security events, including networking or email hacks.
