Position Summary

We seek a Hydrogen Program Associate to join our Center for Hydrogen Safety (CHS) team. The successful individual will support the team in implementing various member programs and activities.

 

Responsibilities

Under the direction of CHS Directors, the Hydrogen Program Associate will support CHS in achieving its objectives.

  • Lead CHS member meetings
  • Routinely connect with CHS members through routine voice, email/virtual, and in-person contact
  • Follow-up with member requests and questions; maintaining and improving the website
  • Assist in the development and deployment of training programs and materials focused on hydrogen and hydrogen safety (including in-person and virtual training activities preferred)
  • Coordinate with AIChE’s conference team to host conferences and support conference activities onsite
  • Support onboarding calls with new member organizations to introduce them to CHS and help them become an impactful contributor to the community.
  • On behalf of CHS, interface and coordinate activities with the AIChE sales, marketing and customer service, IT, and management teams
  • Help develop, track, and update statistical/activities reports by utilizing spreadsheets and other electronic tools
  • Assist with membership outreach and retention strategies
  • Demonstrate ability to solve problems, to manage systems and data, and to suggest appropriate solutions
  • Provide excellent customer service, enjoy working with people, and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Develop meeting minutes from CHS meetings and working groups
  • Help develop monthly newsletters and frequent technical bulletins
  • Guide the development of hydrogen and hydrogen safety content and posting on CHS social media platforms (preferred)
  • Facilitate CHS stakeholder and board meetings
  • Assist with membership applications and invoicing processes
  • Help develop and coordinate CHS activities to develop member benefits and marketing materials
  • Assist with the development of grants to receive and disburse funds
  • Facilitate membership applications, contracts, and invoicing processes
  • Other activities as determined by CHS Directors

Location & Travel

  • This position can be either at our NYC Global Office or be located remotely
  • Travel is expected 4-8 times a year

Requirements

Education & Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline or applicable education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Preferred: Experience working with non-profits, hydrogen safety, engineers and safety professionals, safety systems, customer service, or sales are pluses
  • Experience working with subject matter experts, volunteers, faculty, and management

Benefits

Compensation Full-Time - $100,000- $120,000
