SUMMARY:
The Head Start Child Development Assistant will work on assignment with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) in the Head Start program to provide direct support in the classroom environment, implements lessons, and activities as directed by the lead teacher.
- Available Center-based Locations:
- Barkley Elementary School in Phoenixville, PA (8am - 4pm) OR
- Technical College High School (TCHS) Pickering location in Phoenixville, PA (8am-4pm)
- Schedule: 190 day position following school calendar year
- 7.5 paid hours per day
- Great opportunity for work / life balance to have the summer off!
- 10 paid sick days for those working full schedule (prorated based on hire date)
- The hourly pay-rate is $24.74 per hour
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalency and willingness to obtain a child development associate (10 credits) in 2 years
- Previous experience in childcare setting with the demonstrated ability to relate well to children - preferred
CREDENTIALS:
(Clearances current within 12 months)
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening (current within 3 months)
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
