As a key member of Sam’s founding team, the Head of Wellness will design and execute innovative wellness solutions for women navigating illness and recovery. You will have the opportunity to create out-of-the-box, non-medical solutions that empower women with practical tools to manage their health, well-being, and recovery journey. You’ll build the founding wellness team and establish Sam’s culture of creative problem-solving. This is an equity-based role to start, transitioning to a full-time salaried position upon funding. Approximate 20 hours per week until launch.

About the Position
The Head of Wellness will play a pivotal role in shaping Sam’s non-medical, holistic support for women experiencing illness and recovery. You will develop a product offering focused on practical, lifestyle-based solutions, wellness coaching, and self-care strategies. Leading a diverse team of wellness professionals—including chronic illness coaches, mindfulness experts, breathwork coaches, and nutritionists—you’ll be at the forefront of creating innovative, impactful wellness services.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Design: Lead the creation of Sam’s wellness offerings, focusing on practical, creative solutions for women managing illness or recovery. Design a product that incorporates holistic, lifestyle-based strategies for self-care, mindfulness, and overall well-being.
• Recruitment & Leadership: As part of Sam’s founding team, build and lead a diverse team of wellness, mindfulness, and faith-based advisors. Establish a culture that values creativity, compassion, and practical innovation.
• Signature Resources: Develop unique, actionable resources—including webinars, workshops, and events—that offer effective lifestyle and wellness support for women navigating illness and recovery.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Ensure seamless integration with other Sam subject-matter teams, providing holistic support that spans wellness, eldercare, and career transitions.
• Shape the Offering: Innovate and refine Sam’s wellness solutions, driving lasting impact through practical, lifestyle-based strategies that help women regain confidence and control in their lives.

Sam is more than a service; it’s a mission-driven movement supporting women through life’s most challenging transitions—such as illness, eldercare, and career changes. Launching in March 2025, Sam provides expert-driven advice, curated resources, and a community for women to gain confidence and clarity. Our four-part model includes personal navigators, experts on demand, curated toolboxes, and a safe community platform exclusively for women. We aim to inspire change and support women every step of the way.

• You have 15+ years of experience in wellness coaching, lifestyle management, product strategy, or related fields.

• You’re detail-oriented but can move forward without being paralyzed by analysis.
