As a crucial member of Sam's founding team, the Head of Eldercare will design and execute comprehensive eldercare services, supporting women caring for elderly loved ones as well as the elderly themselves. You will have the chance to reinvent the eldercare space, create innovative solutions, and shape Sam’s culture from the start. This is an equity-based role to begin, transitioning to a full-time salaried position upon securing funding. Approximate 20 hours per week until launch.

About the Position
The Head of Eldercare will play a pivotal role in both setting the foundation of Sam’s eldercare services and building the founding team. You will develop creative, elegant solutions that support caregivers and elderly individuals, leading a diverse team of experts—including Medicare/Medicaid specialists, geriatric social workers, attorneys, wellness coaches, and housing specialists. You’ll be empowered to shape the service offerings, establish the team culture, and define Sam’s approach to one of the most significant challenges women face.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Design: Create and refine Sam’s eldercare offerings with innovative solutions for caregivers and elderly individuals, including areas like Medicare navigation, housing options, wellness, and legal guidance.
• Recruitment & Leadership: Serve as both a member of Sam's founding team and the leader in building a diverse team of eldercare professionals, setting the tone for an inclusive, creative, and compassionate culture.
• Signature Resources: Develop unique webinars, workshops, and events that deliver practical, actionable support for caregivers and the elderly.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Ensure seamless integration with other Sam subject-matter teams, promoting a holistic approach to support.
• Shape the Offering: Innovate and adapt Sam’s eldercare services, driving meaningful, lasting impact on women, their families, and the elderly.

Sam is more than a service; it’s a mission-driven movement supporting women through life’s most challenging transitions—such as career changes, eldercare, and illness. Launching in March 2025, Sam offers expert-driven advice, curated resources, and a community for women to gain confidence and clarity. Our four-part model includes personal navigators, experts on demand, curated toolboxes, and a safe community platform exclusively for women. We aim to inspire change and support women every step of the way.

• You have 15+ years of experience in content management, product strategy/design, or eldercare-related fields.
• You have led teams and managed professionals across different disciplines.
• You’ve built something from the ground up and thrived in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
• You’re resourceful, finding creative solutions even when challenges arise.
• You’re detail-oriented but can move forward without being paralyzed by analysis.
