About the Role
Our client, a creative agency is seeking a skilled graphic illustrator with a flair for fantasy and comic book-inspired artwork. The primary task involves creating custom, full-color character illustrations based on client briefs. The finished product must include a commercial license for the client's usage across various fields, including music, modeling, live streaming, and acting. This is a single job opportunity with the potential for follow-up work, and the duration is expected to span more than a week. The illustrator can work remotely on this project, and the agency has allocated a budget between $200-$300 per design, suitable for junior to mid-level freelance experts.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand client briefs to create fantasy/comic book-style character illustrations
- Design and illustrate original, full-color characters with a distinctive fantasy or comic book aesthetic
- Incorporate specific details, features, and elements as requested by the client
- Ensure the finished illustrations are visually appealing and capture the desired tone and mood
- Provide the illustrations with a commercial license for the client's usage across various mediums
Requirements
- Proven experience in graphic illustration, with a strong portfolio showcasing fantasy and comic book-style artwork
- Excellent drawing and digital illustration skills, with proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling techniques
- Ability to create original, dynamic, and expressive character designs
- Familiarity with various art styles, including fantasy, comic books, and related genres
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
