IT Concepts is looking for a Government Contracting Pricing Analyst to support our Growth Team. The Pricing Analyst will assist in developing and communicating pricing strategies for government contract proposals. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization submits competitive and compliant bids that align with both financial goals and regulatory requirements. You will leverage your analytical expertise to prepare detailed cost estimates, pricing models, and financial reports, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights. Your work will directly impact the organization’s ability to secure new contracts and drive business growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring that all pricing activities adhere to broad government regulations as well as solicitation specific requirements. You will also conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor pricing, providing valuable insights that inform strategic pricing decisions. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and present financial analysis in a clear and concise manner will be essential to your success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of pricing volumes for Prime and Subcontractor proposals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with solicitation requirements.
- Participate in pricing file reviews to ensure accurate inputs, sound calculations, and alignment between multiple data sources and pricing artifacts.
- Ensure all pricing activities comply with vehicle requirements, solicitation requirements, and adhere to company policies.
- Work closely with Finance, Contracts, Business Development, and Service Delivery to gather data and inputs for pricing proposals.
- Perform in-depth analysis of various pricing components including salary survey/ITC workforce data, subcontractor pricing, level of effort, profitability, and scenario projections.
- Generate and present detailed financial reports and pricing analysis to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor pricing, and government procurement practices
Location: Remote position; able to work East Coast Hours (primarily)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in government contracting in roles such as Pricing Analyst, Contracts Analyst, Project Control/Financial Analyst
- Experience with, and understanding of, different contract types (FFP, T&M, CPXF) and the pre-award and post-award implications on pricing and execution strategies.
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel (V/XLookups, Sumif/product, nested IF statements, etc.)
- Familiarity with the FAR
- Excellent communication skills and high self-efficacy
Preferred:
- Experience performing competitor research using a combination of publicly available data and paid research tools. (FPDS, USASpending, SCI, GovWin, etc)
- Experience preparing cost estimates, participating in BOE development, and leading conversations with leadership and technical resources.
Clearance requirement:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
