About the Role:
The Governance Analyst role is best suited for a process driven, commercially minded self-starter seeking to progress their career in a progressive and forward-looking company. They are responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are current and in line with contractual agreements, laws and regulations, and operations.
The Governance Analyst will conduct ongoing reviews of all departmental policies and procedures, and maintain all systems for document storage and retrieval, and effectively train employees on efficient system usage. In this capacity, the Governance Analyst uses various methods for accomplishing his/her duties and collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to both define new processes and refine existing processes.
Requirements
You Will:
Governance and Policy Management:
- Govern Wiki policies for operational efficiency, including the creation, oversight, and maintenance of new policies and procedures related to GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance).
- Assist with the full implementation of the policy module through the audit board. Track policy changes, facilitate approvals, and annually review and update governance policies.
- Establish, maintain, and assess organizational standards to ensure successful operations, aligning with COSO governance standards.
- Implement and maintain the RACI Matrix for PCI 4.0 Requirement in all related policies.
- Govern policies and procedures related to Training, including oversight of employee offboarding/termination, managing Trust Center Access Reviews, and governance over BCP (Business Continuity Planning) and IR (Incident Response) training.
Audit and Compliance:
- Identify and report compliance issues or discrepancies and support compliance audits and assessments.
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure business continuity in the event of employee separation, transfer, or leave of absence, and hold respective managers accountable for completion.
- Participate in audits for governance-related questions and ensure coordination with the training team for compliance and ethics/code of conduct.
- Conduct Governance Risk Assessments.
Committee and Reporting Management:
- Prepare materials for risk committee meetings, including agendas, reports, and presentations, and coordinate logistics for committee meetings.
- Maintain records of Risk Committee minutes and resolutions, and facilitate information flow between governance bodies and relevant parties.
- Prepare reports and dashboards related to corporate governance for senior management and the board of directors, providing regular updates on governance activities, compliance status, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Stay informed about changes in corporate governance regulations and best practices, and conduct research on governance-related topics to support decision-making and compliance efforts.
Culture and Training:
- Promote a culture of corporate governance and transparency within the organization.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to travel up to 5%.
- Must work Eastern Standard hours.
You Have:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Certificate in Healthcare Compliance are preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years of Governance experience.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, analyze, and track a high volume of information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with an emphasis on formal documentation.
- Ability to ask insightful questions and dig deep into evidence or documents when interacting with employees or vendors.
