Position Overview:
The Global Head of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and implementing sales strategies, and managing the global sales team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in international sales, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global sales strategy aligned with the company's objectives and growth targets.
- Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments.
- Create and implement sales plans and budgets.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Oversee the sales pipeline, forecast sales, and monitor performance against targets.
- Market and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Analyze and leverage data to make informed sales decisions.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive overall company strategy and growth.
- Sales Operations and Process Improvement:
- Optimize sales processes, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices in sales management, reporting, and performance measurement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
- Proven success in leading global sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
