About the Role

A small business venturing into social media content creation is seeking a freelance animator/video editor to produce short animations based on provided scripts. Each animation should be no more than a minute long. The project is remote, with a delivery timeline of two weeks. While a beginner to mid-level experience level is acceptable, the ideal candidate should possess versatility and creativity to bring the scripts to life. This is a one-time task initially, but there is potential for follow-up work depending on the results. The client is open to receiving offers regarding the budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Interpret and understand the provided scripts to create visually engaging animations.
2. Design and animate characters, environments, and visual elements to bring the scripts to life.
3. Incorporate sound effects, music, and other audio elements as necessary to enhance the animations.
4. Utilize video editing software and techniques to assemble the final animated videos.
5. Ensure smooth transitions, timing, and overall flow of the animations.
6. Collaborate with the client to understand their vision and incorporate feedback.
7. Adhere to the established delivery timeline of two weeks.
8. Maintain open communication with the client, providing regular updates on progress.
9. Deliver high-quality, polished animations ready for social media distribution.

Requirements

1. Beginner to mid-level experience in animation and video editing.
2. Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender) and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
3. Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and visual storytelling.
4. Creativity and versatility to bring scripts to life with vibrant and engaging animations.
5. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
6. Excellent time management skills to meet the two-week delivery timeline.
7. Ability to work independently and remotely, while maintaining effective communication with the client.
8. Willingness to work within the client's budget constraints (open to receiving offers).
9. Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content requirements is a plus.
