About the Role

A company specializing in animated productions, is seeking a freelance animator for a single project entitled "Spike: The Crusader." This project is an apocalyptic/sci-fi zombie animated series that requires high-quality 2D animation in an anime style. The company is open to exploring other animation styles, excluding 3D. The ideal candidate should range from a beginner to a junior-level animator, and the position can be performed remotely with no specific time constraints. This single project has the potential for further collaborations with the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Animate character movements, expressions, and actions for the "Spike: The Crusader" animated series, adhering to the desired anime-inspired style.
2. Collaborate with the production team to understand the project's vision, character designs, and storyboards.
3. Ensure consistent quality and adherence to the established art style throughout the animation process.
4. Utilize industry-standard 2D animation software and techniques to create smooth and fluid animations.
5. Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality animated sequences as per the project schedule.
6. Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to the animations as required.
7. Maintain open communication with the production team, providing regular updates on progress.
8. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the company's animation practices and guidelines.

Requirements

1. Beginner to junior-level experience in 2D animation, with a strong focus on anime-inspired styles.
2. Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, TV Paint).
3. Strong understanding of animation principles, such as timing, spacing, and character acting.
4. Ability to create fluid and expressive character movements and expressions.
5. Familiarity with digital painting and color theory.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
7. Strong time management and organizational skills.
8. Ability to work independently and remotely, while collaborating with the production team as needed.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Passion for animation and a willingness to learn and grow as an artist.
