About the Role

An inventor is seeking a skilled 3D Animator to create a detailed animation of a Gantry Machine Tool, including transparent component cutaways. This personal project involves working from a comprehensive 3D CAD model and a detailed six-page script that outlines movements, timestamps, and camera viewpoints. The project aims to visualize the motion of the machine tool, cutting tool, and machined part with simple color gradients. The timeline is flexible, with the potential for follow-up work based on the project's success. Remote work is possible.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a 3D animation of a Gantry Machine Tool using provided 3D CAD models.
• Create transparent component cutaways to showcase internal mechanisms.
• Follow a detailed script to accurately depict movements, timestamps, and camera angles.
• Apply simple color gradients to the cutting tool and the machined part during motion sequences.
• Collaborate with the inventor to ensure the animation meets project specifications.
• Deliver the completed animation within a reasonable timeframe.
• Be open to feedback and make necessary revisions to achieve desired results.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D animation, particularly with mechanical and machine tool animations.
• Proficiency in working with 3D CAD models.
