About the Role

The owner of a gifting site, offering software that generates personalized greetings featuring historical events, is seeking a talented UI/UX designer to help redesign the software's interface. The project involves reviewing and refining existing wireframes, and creating an appealing and cohesive design for both the website (desktop and mobile versions) and the desktop application (Mac and Windows).

Responsibilities:

1. Review and refine the provided wireframes for the software's functionality, ensuring adherence to UX principles and best practices.
2. Design a visually appealing and user-friendly interface for the desktop application, catering to both Mac and Windows platforms.
3. Create a responsive and mobile-friendly design for the main website and pricing pages.
4. Ensure a consistent and cohesive design language across all platforms (website, desktop app, mobile).
5. Collaborate with the software engineer to understand the software's functionality and user requirements.
6. Identify and prioritize design challenges, and provide creative solutions to enhance the overall user experience.
7. Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs based on stakeholder input.
8. Deliver high-quality design assets and documentation for implementation.

Requirements

1. Proven experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional user experiences.
2. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Figma).
3. Excellent visual design skills and an eye for aesthetically pleasing and intuitive interfaces.
4. Ability to think creatively and provide unique design concepts beyond standard website layouts.
5. Strong understanding of UX principles, usability best practices, and design patterns.
6. Familiarity with responsive design and designing for multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, web).
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to understand client needs and preferences.
8. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
9. Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
