About the Role

An entrepreneur running companies in the Executive Search and talent development industry is seeking a JavaScript programmer with specific expertise in Svelte for a full-time personal project. The project involves completing a JobMatch Portal that is approximately 90% developed. The hired expert will work on the existing source code to finalize the project, which could potentially lead to the launch of a new tech company.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and understand the existing source code for the JobMatch Portal project.
2. Utilize Svelte and JavaScript to complete the remaining 10% of the project, ensuring all functionalities are working as intended.
3. Collaborate with the entrepreneur to understand the project requirements and specifications.
4. Implement bug fixes, performance optimizations, and code refactoring as necessary.
5. Ensure the final product is thoroughly tested and ready for deployment.
6. Provide clear and concise documentation for the project, including any necessary setup instructions or usage guides.
7. Maintain open communication with the entrepreneur, providing regular updates on progress and addressing any concerns or issues.

Requirements

1. Proven expertise in JavaScript programming, with a strong focus on Svelte.
2. Proficient in working with existing codebases and understanding complex projects.
3. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
4. Experience with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
5. Knowledge of modern web development practices, such as responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
