About the Role
Our client is seeking a mid-level expert for a long-term, part-time contract to assist with pre-production planning and execution for a project. The project involves creating 30 short films, each 2-3 minutes long, based on existing scripts. The content focuses on the creator's experiences. This remote position requires weekly deliverables and adherence to a specific style as demonstrated in a provided example.
Responsibilities:
- Convert existing scripts into proper screenplay format
- Create detailed storyboards for each short film
- Develop comprehensive shot lists integrated with storyboards
- Ensure shot lists are feasible for one-day shoots in Los Angeles
- Use a combination of hand-drawing and AI tools (e.g., Midjourney) for visual planning
Requirements
- Proven experience in pre-production planning for short films or similar content
- Strong screenwriting skills with the ability to format scripts professionally
- Proficiency in storyboarding and creating detailed shot lists
- Familiarity with AI image generation tools, particularly Midjourney
- Understanding of efficient shooting schedules and logistics for on-location filming
- Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines
