About the Role

Our client, a pet product company is seeking a mid-level experienced freelance packaging designer for a short-term project lasting around one week. This is a remote job opportunity with the potential for follow-up work in the future. The primary task involves creating packaging designs for the company's pet products, and the project must be delivered by the end of April. The company is currently in the planning and research phase of their hiring process and is open to receiving offers for the project cost.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the company's brand identity, target audience, and product line
• Conceptualize and design visually appealing and functional packaging for pet products
• Incorporate the company's branding elements, such as logos, colors, and design guidelines
• Ensure the packaging design complies with industry standards and regulations
• Consider the practicality of the packaging for storage, transportation, and shelf display
• Prepare print-ready files and production specifications for the packaging designs

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in packaging design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Knowledge of packaging materials, printing techniques, and production processes
• Excellent understanding of typography, layout, and color theory
• Ability to create designs that are both visually appealing and functional
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
