About the Role
Our client is seeking a music producer for a long-term collaboration on a single music project. The goal is to create a unique beat that blends elements of Afrobeats, Brazilian funk, East African coastal music, and African jazz. This remote position offers flexibility in terms of project timeline and is open to producers ranging from beginner to mid-level experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to understand their vision for the fusion beat
- Research and analyze the characteristics of Afrobeats, Brazilian funk, East African coastal music, and African jazz
- Create a distinctive beat that successfully incorporates elements from all specified genres
- Develop and refine the beat based on the feedback
Requirements
- Experience in music production, with a portfolio demonstrating beat-making skills
- Familiarity with Afrobeats, Brazilian funk, East African coastal music, and African jazz (knowledge of all genres preferred, but not mandatory)
- Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as FL Studio, Ableton Live, or Logic Pro
- Strong ear for rhythm, melody, and harmony
- Creativity in blending diverse musical elements
