About the Role
Our client is is seeking a freelancer to assist in recording and producing a country song. The project requires an experienced individual who can take charge of the recording process, enhance the song by adding necessary instruments, and work collaboratively with the singer-songwriter. The freelancer can work remotely for the better part of a week.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the singer-songwriter to understand their vision and desired sound for the country song.
- Arrange and record the necessary instrumental tracks to complement the existing vocals and rhythm guitar.
- Enhance the overall production quality by adding appropriate instrumentation, such as drums, bass, lead guitar, and other elements typical of the country genre.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a music producer and recording engineer, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in the country genre.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) and audio editing software.
- In-depth knowledge of recording techniques, microphone placement, and signal processing.
- Strong understanding of music theory, arrangements, and instrumentation specific to the country genre.
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
