About the Role
We are seeking a skilled composer to create an engaging jazz/rock-inspired score for a 40-minute short film, with a tone reminiscent of Ocean's 11. The score should bring energy and sophistication to the project, incorporating both digital composition and occasional live instrumentation. The first five minutes of the film are complete and available for review upon request. With a final deadline of January 6, 2025, this is a fast-paced project that requires a talented composer who excels at creating music “in the box.” Studio recording is not necessary, but creativity and efficiency are essential.

Requirements

• Proven experience in composing for film or similar visual media.
• Expertise in jazz and rock styles, with the ability to blend them seamlessly.
• Proficiency in digital composition and sound design, with a focus on “in-the-box” production.
• Ability to incorporate live instrumentation into digital tracks as needed.
• Strong time management skills to meet the 1/6/2025 deadline.
• Open to feedback and collaboration throughout the process.
• Availability to begin immediately and provide samples of work upon request.
