About the Role
Our client is seeking a mid-level mixing expert to enhance the vocal tracks for their upcoming project. This short-term engagement requires a skilled professional to refine and polish the vocal elements, ensuring they blend seamlessly with the instrumental tracks while maintaining the authentic soul sound. The project is currently in the planning phase, with the actual work expected to take one to two days and to be completed remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Mix vocal tracks for a soul music project, ensuring high-quality and professional results
- Balance and blend vocal tracks with existing instrumental elements
- Apply appropriate effects, EQ, compression, and other processing techniques to enhance the vocal performance
- Maintain the authentic soul music feel while achieving a modern, polished sound
Requirements
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in professional audio mixing, with a focus on vocal production
- Specific expertise in mixing soul music and understanding its unique characteristics
- Proficiency in industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and mixing software
- Strong ear for detail and ability to enhance vocal performances through mixing techniques
