About the Role
We are seeking a talented illustrator to collaborate on a children’s book project. This role involves creating illustrations that not only complement but also elevate the story through their own visual narrative. The project offers an exciting opportunity to co-develop ideas, as your artistic perspective may influence the text itself.
The illustrations should capture a balance of humor and tenderness, with a particular focus on figures in motion, as the story has a sports-oriented theme. This is a single project with potential for ongoing collaboration on follow-up books, making it an ideal opportunity for an illustrator looking to establish a longer-term creative partnership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in illustrating children’s books or related projects.
- Ability to workshop and collaborate on ideas, contributing creatively to the narrative.
- Strong skills in drawing expressive characters, especially in dynamic and motion-oriented poses.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a balance of humor and emotional depth in illustrations.
- Availability for approximately one week to complete the project.
- Experience in delivering high-quality work within a collaborative, iterative process.
