About the Role
An author of a computer programming book is seeking a talented illustrator to create simple yet effective drawings that visualise software program interactions. This short-term project aims to enhance the educational value of the book by providing clear visual representations of programming concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating educational illustrations, particularly in the field of technology or computer science.
Responsibilities:
- Create simple, clear illustrations that effectively conceptualise interactions between software programs
- Collaborate with the author to understand and accurately represent programming concepts visually
- Develop a consistent style for illustrations throughout the book
- Ensure illustrations are suitable for print and digital formats
Requirements
- Proven experience in creating educational illustrations, preferably in technology-related fields
- Strong ability to translate complex concepts into simple, understandable visuals
- Proficiency in digital illustration tools and software
- Basic understanding of computer programming concepts (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication skills to discuss and clarify illustration needs with the author
