About the Role
A company is seeking to hire a beginner to mid-level Video Game Graphic Designer to join their team for a long-term, ongoing project involving an "Escape Game." The primary responsibility will be creating graphics and assets using Blender software. This is a remote position, with no requirement for on-location work. The successful candidate will become a part of the company and not a freelance hire. The compensation will be based on the offers received, and the CEO is looking for dedicated individuals ready to contribute to the creative process.
Responsibilities:
- Use Blender software to design and create 3D graphics, assets, and environments for the "Escape Game" project.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design specifications.
- Create high-quality, visually appealing, and immersive game assets, including characters, environments, props, and other elements.
- Ensure consistency in the visual style and adherence to the established art direction.
- Optimize assets for efficient rendering and performance in the game engine.
- Participate in creative discussions and provide input on game design and visual direction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in video game graphics and design.
- Maintain open communication with the team and provide regular progress updates.
- Consistently meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Requirements
- Beginner to mid-level experience in video game graphics design, with a strong focus on Blender software.
- Proficient in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering techniques.
- Strong understanding of game art principles, including asset optimization and level design.
- Familiarity with game engines and their asset pipeline processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with the team.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Passion for video games and a willingness to learn and grow as a game artist.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
