About the Role
We are looking for a talented children’s book illustrator to bring a board book to life with full-page, whimsical color illustrations. Inspired by the soft tones and imaginative style of Emily Winfield Martin, the illustrations should evoke a sense of wonder and charm for young readers. This is a personal project with future books planned, offering potential for ongoing collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating captivating illustrations for children’s literature and the ability to deliver artwork that aligns with the vision provided through AI-generated style references. The role is open to remote work, with flexibility to collaborate throughout the creative process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in illustrating children’s books or similar projects.
- Ability to emulate soft, whimsical, and detailed artistic styles.
- Proficiency in traditional or digital illustration tools to produce high-quality, print-ready artwork.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and engaging young audiences.
- Open to feedback and collaboration to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Reliable and able to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
This is an exciting opportunity to bring a debut children’s book to life, with the possibility of ongoing work on future projects. We’d love to see samples of your work that demonstrate your ability to create in a similar style.
