About the Role
Our client, a prominent Asian publishing house specializing in educational materials is seeking a skilled freelance book designer to create an engaging layout for a children's environmental book. This part-time, remote contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to an important educational resource while utilizing creative design skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in children's book layout, particularly using InDesign, and the ability to create visually appealing and informative layouts that captivate young readers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement an engaging layout for a children's environmental book using InDesign
- Create a cohesive and visually appealing design that enhances the educational content
- Ensure consistency in design elements throughout the book
- Incorporate illustrations, photographs, and text in a balanced and attractive manner
- Optimize layouts for print production
Requirements
- Proven experience in children's book layout design, particularly for educational materials
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and engaging layouts for children's books
- Understanding of design principles for educational materials
- Familiarity with print production requirements
