About the Role
Our client, a game development team is seeking a skilled animator for their project. The project requires expertise in character animation, background creation, and designing props and interiors. This is initially a single job with potential for long-term collaboration. The art style is inspired by the game "Deponia". Responsibilities:
- Create and animate 2D characters
- Design and illustrate backgrounds, props, and interior environments
- Ensure all artwork is consistent with the established art style
- Collaborate with the development team to understand and implement visual requirements
- Optimise artwork for game engine integration
Requirements
- Proven experience in 2D game art and animation
- Strong portfolio demonstrating character animation, background design, and prop creation
- Proficiency in industry-standard digital art and animation software
- Strong communication skills for effective remote collaboration
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
