About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled freelancer animator for a project. The primary task involves adapting a written screenplay into animation. This is a full-time, long-term contract position that allows the successful candidate to work remotely. The ideal candidate should possess mid to senior level experience in animation and be able to commit to an extended period.

Responsibilities:

• Study and understand the written screenplay, character designs, and overall creative vision for the project.
• Adapt the screenplay into storyboards and animatics, ensuring accurate representation of the storyline and characters.
• Animate characters, backgrounds, and other elements using industry-standard animation software and techniques.
• Ensure smooth and engaging character movements, facial expressions, and lip-syncing.

Requirements

• Mid to senior level experience in 2D or 3D animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing character animation and adaptation work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, Maya, or Blender.
• Solid understanding of animation principles, timing, and movement.
• Experience in adapting written scripts or screenplays into animated form.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in character designs and animations.
