About the Role

An educational content creator is seeking an animator for a children's storytelling project that focuses on creating calm, engaging animated content. The project aims to blend educational value with classic animation aesthetics, drawing inspiration from traditional animated films. This initiative focuses on developing content that promotes learning while maintaining a soothing visual experience for young viewers.

Responsibilities:

• Create character designs and animations that align with the project's educational goals
• Develop smooth, engaging animations that maintain a balanced visual stimulation level
• Collaborate with the project owner to establish appropriate pacing for children's content
• Translate written stories into visual sequences that capture young audiences' attention

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating 2D animation skills and understanding of traditional animation principles
• Experience with or strong interest in children's content creation
• Proficiency in animation software (Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, or similar)
• Understanding of age-appropriate content and visual pacing for children
• Ability to create animations that balance engagement with calm viewing experience
• Strong communication skills and receptiveness to feedback
• Capability to work independently while maintaining regular project updates
