About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented freelance 3D animator with expertise in creating anime-style animations for a project. The project involves producing a 3-minute anime opening-style video featuring 12-14 students from a university, who will be portrayed as anime characters. The animator will be responsible for bringing these characters to life through vibrant and dynamic animations, capturing the essence of the anime genre.

Responsibilities:

• Study and interpret the provided reference material, including photographs of the students and the music background.
• Design and model 3D anime-style characters based on the provided photographs, ensuring accurate representations while maintaining an anime aesthetic.
• Rig and animate the 3D characters, infusing them with expressive movements and gestures that align with the anime opening style.
• Incorporate the provided music background seamlessly into the animation, synchronizing the character movements with the rhythm and mood of the music.

Requirements

• Proven experience in 3D animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing anime-style character animations.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
• Excellent character modeling, rigging, and animation skills, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of anime aesthetics.
• Familiarity with anime opening sequences and the ability to capture the essence of this genre.
• Strong time management and organisational skills to meet project deadlines.
